I was chatting about these shoes this morning (they get a lot of comments) and I was saying how glad I was that I got them. A pair of platform heeled sandals or pumps in your skin color is def. a necessary "investment". You've probably read this in magazines, other blogs, etc. but if you have ever wished your legs looked longer in an outfit, you need some, for serious.

Yeah... I wasn't joking my hair is totes a seafoam color right now too (thanks to manic panic's atomic turquoise lol).

Today's list: Ben Sherman dress, BR cardigan, Aridza Bross bag, Gap wedges, and I'm pretty sure that belt was from Express back when I thought that store was the ish.

It's probably the urge to be at the beach in this heat (100+ where I am) that makes seafoam green one of my favorite summer colors. I bought this 05 pewter hw seafoam first balenciaga a few years ago. Boy, has she gotten a lot of use. This season has brought so much colored denim that naturally I want a sea foam pair! Because clearly, my red and purple jeans aren't enough...These current/elliot beatnik jeans are the perfect shade and have a slim cuffed shape perfect for summer with a flowy peasant blouse and espadrilles or better yet a slouchy backless tank, an armful of bracelets and cuffs, and flat black sandals.

the river boat

It is so unbelievably gorgeous out today, we walked down to the waterfront at lunch. When I see all the tourists out I remember how lucky I am to work here. Behind me is the Cherry Blossom on the Potomac River. It has some fond memories for me not just because I've seen it here since I was a child, it was actually where our class' high school all-night grad party was held 10 years ago.

Navy, plaid, and woven details seemed perfectly summery for today. I was afraid I looked too country-club wife-ish but let's be honest, having pink hair definitely negates that...
