It is the warmest June on record here, after record breaking snowstorms last winter, I'm fine with the heat. I love the layering of winter, but nothing beats a summer dress and fun sandals. I've also made a new commitment regarding my shopping that I'm ready to announce and make myself accountable for. As a long-time vegetarian and animal lover, I have come to grips with my hypocrisy over fashion. I had become a hard-core Balenciaga collector and I love my bags dearly. I'll keep using the ones I have and probably keep them to pass on to my future daughter :) But as of about a month ago, I am no longer purchasing 1st use leather. There are so many ways to get upcycled leather (recycled leather that would be trashed) or vegan products now. Stella McCartney and Matt & Nat make this easier than you would think. Eco-fashion is here to stay and I'm now on the band-wagon. The bag I have in this post is an adorable Matt & Nat santogold shoulder bag in the most lovely pale pink.
