summatime

hot summer days require hot summer dresses. Here I am wearing: kensie dress, banana republic cardigan, chanel scarf, chanel shades, charles by charles david sandals, and ysl easy bag.

complements please

I love complementary colors! complements: colors on opposite end of the color wheel like yellow and purple. Going out for drinks means pulling out the reallllllly high heels.. here I am wearing: ysl tribute maryjanes, cheap monday acid washed jeans, no name silk tank, my boyfriend's shirt from men's h&m, and balenciaga bag.

REMIX

So on a lazy friday evening, I couldn't decide between two comfy remixes with the tank and boyfriend shirt. First was cut-off bcbg jeans and joie sandals. Second was gypsy leggings with functional snap details and steve madden suede booties. Eventually the heat and the humidity outside swayed me to the shorts. Also, my dog couldn't help but be in the photos (she is my loyal, loving, little shadow); paintings in the background are by me as well as the illustration in the last post. :)

if only i had

digital painting of a money tree

matchy matchy

I have kicked the habit of matching my accessories, but jewelry I'm still struggling with. Something in me can't put silver and gold together as much as I try to resist. Today was a gold day apparently. I'm wearing: cheap monday shirt (with pockets!), bb dakota skirt, joie shoes, express tank, elephant necklace-elizabeth cole, cuff-tracy matthews, tiger bangle-kenneth jay lane, gucci sunnies, miu miu bag, and other random jewelry.

exercise in neutrality

In a neutral mood today. I'm wearing: gap white tee, free people backless hoodie, no name fringe skirt, loeffler randall shoes, prada sunnies, balenciaga bag, vintage and random jewelry

moment of regret...

First off, I want to apologize for the crappy photos, especially the one with my dog hiding behind my feet. These are photos of my ysl black patent easy (and ysl patent platforms) which I adored when I first bought last winter. I thought the patent was a great update to the easy bag and made it so versatile-day to night, rain or shine. But now, the new studded easy is haunting me. I should have waited- the studded one has just enough tasteful rocker edge it would be the perfect refined addition to the DIY studded bag collection I already own. Alas I have no need for two black easy's or the cash... so this one I will continue to ogle online only. first photo credit: saks
